CORPORATE INTRANET MENU MUSIC
Release Date (Y-M-D): 2020-OCT-14
Release Platform: YouTube
Release Format: 2160p60 h.264 video
DESCRIPTION
The video for Corporate Menu Music was created between 2016-AUG-24 (when I started on the first Quake 1 map) and 2020-MAY-31 when I uploaded the final version of the video to YouTube. It took another couple of months until the video went public on 2020-OCT-14. All the mapping was done in TrenchBroom 1.1.6 Build 381 by Kristian Duske & Co. Close to all of the textures used were created by myself and added to Q.WAD with Wally Version 1.55B by Ty Matthews and Neal White. Compiling was done with ne_q1spCompilingGui v1.0.3 by C. Jones ('necros').

BORLANDO LOOM
Release Date (Y-M-D): 2021-JAN-28
Release Platform: YouTube
Release Format: 2160p25 h.264 video
DESCRIPTION
This video was recorded 2021-JAN-23 and 2021-JAN-27. I fed the MIDI data (or what was left of it) of my 2018 track BORLANDO LOOM into Cubase Lite - a free version of Cubase 1.0.
Cubase Lite (running on the Atari 1040STE) sends the MIDI data to three Roland JV-2080 synthesizer modules in stack mode. Obviously one JV-2080 would be enough to play back this track. But since I currently got three of those things in the studio, I thought more blinking lights and more screens look cooler in a video.
The JV units then send the MIDI into an Akai S1000, which again is only in the video because the MIDI monitor modes on that thing look interesting. The S1000 sends the MIDI to my old MacBook running Snoize MIDI Monitor, which is displayed on the EIZO CRT screen.
The Amiga 1081 CRT monitor shows either a VHS version of the original 2018 Borlando Loom Blender animation or NesFX (the MIDI visualizer on the Wayfar MidiNES). Audio in the video is not live, but from the album master.

Release Platform: YouTube
Release Format: 2160p25 h.264 video

I wanted to make a quick promo animation for my free Minibrute Sample pack. Somehow this escalated into a 6 minute animation short film about terraforming Space Wizards. In a way this video shouldn't exist, but it does and it is now, finally out there for you to enjoy it's weird existence. Oh and of course you can get the Free Minibrute Sample pack with 500 samples as download on my website: RESOURCES

Release Platform: YouTube
Release Format: 2160p60 h.264 video

Back in 2018, I was playing around with importing Streetview models from the SketchUp warehouse into Blender. VOID GATE PANORAMA STATION
Release Date (Y-M-D): 2020-DEC-11
Release Platform: YouTube
Release Format: 2160p25 h.264 video
DESCRIPTION
Lean back, relax for 20 minutes and enjoy your 100% synthetic beverage at the bar of the Void Gate Panorama Station in super aliased Ultra HD resolution. I finally composed all the 3D assets I made for my 'Void Gate' tracks back in 2018 into one long form video. I scaled the initial concept down a bit and the final result feels a bit like what people once called a 'Screensaver' (except that it won’t save your screen from burn in, as some parts don’t move). Running the vid on a big, wall filling 4K screen at night, probably looks cool though.

FORNAX VOID - VIDEO HOME SYSTEM NOSTALGIA
Release Date (Y-M-D): 2011-NOV-29
Release Platform: Vimeo
Release Format: 720p h.264 video
DESCRIPTION
One day during film school, I started to browse through all of my old VHS tapes, mostly filled with old movies and TV shows. During this process, I digitized a lot of the footage I found in this cable-TV-childhood-memory-treasure-chest. During that time I also started to work with the mssiah cartridge by 8bitventures. A piece of hardware / software that makes it relatively easy to control a Commodore 64 computers SID audio chip via MIDI. I decided to create a music video out of the VHS stock I digitized, to one of the tracks I made with the Commodore 64. The video you see here is the final result of this spare-time video / audio project. This video was later included into the Fornax Void work catalogue.
